Dr. Geevarghese Yohannan, born on February 3, 1948, in Nellikunnam, Kottarakara, Kerala, is a distinguished figure in the realms of education, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship. Hailing from an Indian Orthodox Christian family, Dr. Yohannan’s journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and service to society.

A graduate with a Bachelor of Science from Kerala University, Dr. Yohannan’s passion for education led him to establish his first educational institution, Mar Gregorios Memorial (MGM), in Kottarakara, Kerala, in 1994. This marked the beginning of what would become a remarkable 30-year career dedicated to enhancing the educational landscape in India.

Over the years, Dr. Yohannan has played a pivotal role in founding and managing numerous educational institutions. His contributions include the establishment of 11 CBSE-affiliated schools across the districts of Trivandrum, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Ernakulam, as well as four pharmacy colleges located in Kilimanoor, Ernakulam, Kannur, and Malappuram. Additionally, his vision has extended to technical education, with the founding of four polytechnic colleges in Ernakulam, Kilimanoor, and Kannur.

His tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on the field of education in India, providing quality education to countless students and shaping the future of the nation.

After Graduation, joined as an Accountant in Federal Bank, Kerala and worked from 1971 to 1973.
1973
Oman
In 1973, came to Muscat, Sultanate of Oman and joined as an Accountant in a Construction Company: Oman Engineering & Contracting Co. for over 33 years, promoted to the top most position as the Managing Director.
1984
Oman
In 1984, started Nadan Trading L.L.C. for Trading and Construction activities. Have employed thousands of employees from Oman, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Lead Nadan Trading to be a successful business entity with the current annual turnover exceeding: USD 65 Millions.

In 1994, started first educational institution in India in the name of Mar Gregorios Memorial (MGM) in Kottarakkara, Kerala.

Founded under the patronage of renowned Malayalam cine artist, Padmashree Mammotty. The foundation has been contributing and assisting several lower income group families in Kerala; for Cardiac surgery and kidney transplantation

Initiated “Vidyamritham”

An Education scholarship program in engineering, polytechnic and pharmaceutical courses in MGM Colleges with excel grades and financial backward students in higher secondary.

MGM Rehabilitation Relief Program

Under this program, constructed 10 new homes in 10 Districts of Kerala to support the poor victims of the devastations created by Floods in Kerala.
