Dr. Geevarghese Yohannan, born on February 3, 1948, in Nellikunnam, Kottarakara, Kerala, is a distinguished figure in the realms of education, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship. Hailing from an Indian Orthodox Christian family, Dr. Yohannan’s journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and service to society.
A graduate with a Bachelor of Science from Kerala University, Dr. Yohannan’s passion for education led him to establish his first educational institution, Mar Gregorios Memorial (MGM), in Kottarakara, Kerala, in 1994. This marked the beginning of what would become a remarkable 30-year career dedicated to enhancing the educational landscape in India.
Over the years, Dr. Yohannan has played a pivotal role in founding and managing numerous educational institutions. His contributions include the establishment of 11 CBSE-affiliated schools across the districts of Trivandrum, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Ernakulam, as well as four pharmacy colleges located in Kilimanoor, Ernakulam, Kannur, and Malappuram. Additionally, his vision has extended to technical education, with the founding of four polytechnic colleges in Ernakulam, Kilimanoor, and Kannur.
His tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on the field of education in India, providing quality education to countless students and shaping the future of the nation.
