The GY Group of Companies, led by Dr. Geevarghese Yohannan, is a multifaceted conglomerate with a strong presence in the Middle East and India. Dr. Yohannan’s career began as an accountant at Federal Bank in Kerala, where he worked from 1971 to 1973 before moving to Muscat, Oman. There, he joined Oman Engineering & Contracting Co., where he dedicated over 33 years, eventually rising to the role of Managing Director. In 1984, he founded Nadan Trading L.L.C., a company engaged in trading and construction, which has grown to employ thousands of people from across Oman, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, boasting an impressive annual turnover exceeding USD 65 million.

Beyond his business acumen, Dr. Yohannan is also a noted educationalist and philanthropist. In 1994, he ventured into the field of education by establishing the Mar Gregorios Memorial (MGM) institutions in Kerala, India. Over the past three decades, he has expanded his educational initiatives to include 11 CBSE-affiliated schools, 4 pharmacy colleges, and 4 polytechnic colleges across various districts in Kerala. His commitment to education has made a significant impact on the lives of countless students, reflecting his dedication to both entrepreneurship and social responsibility.
